Scrive Guidelines
We are looking for both fiction and nonfiction stories. They will be published chapter by chapter on a consistent basis that is decided by both the author and magazine.
We accept work year-round.

You can send your work via our submission form.
Response time
We are a small team so it can take anywhere from four to twelve weeks, depending on how many submissions we receive.
Simultaneous submissions
We do accept simultaneous submissions but the best submission will be chosen first. If there is extra room in an issue then we will consider additional submissions from authors.
Formatting
Unless specific line formatting is important to the story, all stories will be formatted to fit the magazine style.
Submission fees
There is no submission fee for submitting to the magazine at this time. We just want to help authors reach as many people as possible.
No sexually explicit submissions
We welcome romance submissions but any explicit stories will be rejected and, if the story is already in progress with the magazine, it will be ended unless changes are made to remove the content.
No offensive slurs
We do not tolerate racism, sexism, etc. Any submissions that are deemed offensive will be grounds for story rejection or the abrupt ending of the work in the magazine.
No AI-generated submissions
We value real stories created by real people so we will not accept AI-generated work.
* If 3 decided upon submission dates are missed for in-progress work with the magazine, the story will be ended and resubmission will be rejected. We value consistency and will work with authors to create a schedule that fits their needs.
